Research-use context: “What it is used for” below means what scientists and clinical researchers have investigated—not an instruction or recommendation for personal use.

What researchers study

TB-500 is marketed as a thymosin-β4-related research peptide and is investigated primarily around cell migration, angiogenesis, connective tissue and wound-repair biology.

Potential side effects & unknowns

Human safety data for TB-500 itself are sparse. Human wound-healing studies of thymosin-β4 are not interchangeable with injected TB-500. For musculoskeletal use, recent reviews conclude that human evidence is lacking and safety, dosing and duration remain uncertain.

Research highlight

Thymosin-β4 research has shown faster repair in several wound models and some human topical wound studies. For TB-500 specifically, the evidence is predominantly preclinical, so claims of faster sports-injury recovery in people are not established.
