Selank is a synthetic heptapeptide derived from the tuftsin family. Published research includes Russian human comparative studies in anxiety disorders as well as animal and molecular work on stress-related behavior, enkephalin metabolism, and gene-expression pathways.
What kind of evidence exists?
Selank has human publications, but the evidence base is geographically concentrated and much smaller than that of established anxiolytic therapies.

Sixty-two patients with generalized anxiety disorder or neurasthenia were studied, with Selank compared against medazepam. The publication reported similar anxiolytic effects and measured serum enkephalin-related activity.

This comparative human publication reported anxiolytic effects and tolerability outcomes, including persistence of effect after treatment. Independent replication remains limited.
