Selank

Selank is a synthetic heptapeptide derived from the tuftsin family. Published research includes Russian human comparative studies in anxiety disorders as well as animal and molecular work on stress-related behavior, enkephalin metabolism, and gene-expression pathways.

Efficacy and possible mechanisms of action of a new peptide anxiolytic selank in the therapy of generalized anxiety disorders and neurasthenia

PMID 18454096

Sixty-two patients with generalized anxiety disorder or neurasthenia were studied, with Selank compared against medazepam. The publication reported similar anxiolytic effects and measured serum enkephalin-related activity.
